Bad Schlema is firmly on the map as the destination for late summer music as it once again hosts the European Brass Band Festival / International Festival of Music. The 21st European Brass and Wind Band Festival of Music / 27th International Festival of Music is to be held from the 21st to 23rd September 2018.

The programme will include music for all tastes from swing, big band and folk music to rock, pop and classical.
Two street parades with 1,000 participants each will frame the unique Festival

Tickets for each Festival day are priced at 20,00 Euro. Tickets can be ordered directly from the organiser's office (phone 0049-3771-2534030 or email as of now!

Visitors can look forward to three spectacular days of brass and wind band music, performed by premium
bands in the most picturesque of settings. The Festival combines international flair, terrific atmosphere
and local gastronomic delights to make for a truly memorable experience.

The non-competitive Festival, organised by the music association Bergmannsblasorchester Kurbad Schlema e.V., has been staged every year since 1992, forging numerous friendships between musicians and audiences alike, all through a shared love of music.

Like all successful events, it would not be possible without the help of many hard-working people behind the scenes, and of course, the support of sponsors. The organisers therefore wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers and to the sponsors!

We hope to welcome you in Bad Schlema in September, and we would be very grateful if you would support our work with a financial contribution.
